Volunteer Program
Volunteers'
Previous Experiences
As I look back on my experience this
summer, the work the everyday life, the language, the new friends and
family, the personal growth, the new-found independence-I know it was
priceless. The low program costs definitely attracted me to IVP initially,
but in retrospect, I would have paid much more for the opportunity I had
in France this summer.

I have never had the chance to use the
French I have learned in such an active, involved manner. I have never
been able to speak as much French as I did this summer.
Cherie 00
Not only did I improve my language
skills, but I made friends to last a lifetime and was able to be a part of
French culture first hand.

It was nice to be affiliated with an
organization who really cared about how you were doing, where you were
staying, if everything was going well.

The specific duties assigned to me,
including the boating docks, and the horses, were both challenging and
fun. It was a job of responsibility and at the same time making sure that
the campers enjoyed themselves. In fact, I think I enjoyed it more than
the campers!

..Volunteering in another country is a
once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only did I get the chance to
volunteer, but I was able to experience living in another country, I was
able to visit many of the sights on my days off.
