International Volunteer Program

Program Costs

• $1500 includes: Round-trip ticket (departure from San Francisco or New-York), valid 6 weeks, length of the stay. However, a ticket (round trip) for 8 weeks can be provided to the volunteer for two additional weeks of independent travel arranged and paid by the volunteer.

• Room (on-site lodging, dorms or host families) and meals (breakfast, lunch and diner) during six weeks (week-end included).

• A certificate of program completion and official participation certified by La Société Française de Bienfaisance Mutuelle.

• Transportation from London or Paris to the association where you will be working.

• Volunteers are responsible for personal expenses (independent travel, phone calls, entertainment, dining out, special events...).

• La Société Française de Bienfaisance Mutuelle is a non-profit, non-religious organization created in 1851 by the French Community in San Francisco. La Société Française de Bienfaisance Mutuelle is particularly proud that the program cost is half the price of most summer exchange programs.

The Countdown to Summer:

• Application (including the volunteer application form and $250 refundable only if the volunteer is not accepted into the
  program) — March 15

• Acceptance and Notification — March 30

• Final Payment — April 20

• Volunteer Assignment Provided — June 1

• Departure — Week of June 20
